Artwork Wanted for Flight 18
Hi Everyone,
Some of you might already know that Eric has been working on a public art performance called Flight 18 in association with a grant he received from the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. The show opens March 4th and will fly through April 4th (or 18 if there’s an extension). The show takes place in a space that is 6000 sq. ft (an old Liz Claiborne store) located at South Street Seaport. See website www.flight18.net for more information.
There is a large blank white wall wanting art work. So bring on the art! Work can be framed or unframed but must have hardware attached ready to hang. One piece per artist please. Children’s art welcome too! If work sells 100% goes to the artist. The work will be hung up throughout the run of Flight 18. The show opens this Thursday so we need the work this week.
Please drop off art work (2D only) at the space (see website for directions) either Sunday anytime after 3:00pm, Monday anytime before 5:00pm, Tuesday anytime after 4pm or Wednesday before 5:00pm.

I would like to contribute live art on Flight 18 in the form of a lightshow. I create live projection
graphics moving to the music; on the walls, and/or floor, and/or on the performers.
I bring my own overhead projector and transparency markers and hundreds of
colored plastic objects to project moving color designs on the wall.
This is done just like it was in the 1960’s; all by hand, no computer video. I am
constantly at the projector, working by hand; creating moving psychedelic space
patterns, wet effects, moire patterns, with endless combinations of
transparencies, filters, peoples’ names, human and animal forms, weather and space artifacts, and
whatever new materials I am constantly finding in my daily travels. I have performed at Uncle Sam’s disco in the 70’s, Olivium jazz club, Four Food Studio, Whoville’s Woodstock Revival Concert, Stainbar in NYC, and hundreds of private parties and club events.

I’ll try to come tonight (stardate 3-24 wed)!I’ll try to dock at the spacecraft around 22.00 hours (10pm dst). Can you open the chained-off pod bay door behind the ship so I can dock my vintage 20th century olds millenium falcon there?
